Studies have shown that over 40% of all applicants misrepresent and /or omit information in resident and/or employment applications. Therefore, relying solely on the information provided by the applicant to perform a comprehensive background search is never recommended.

At United Screening Services we take a different approach. Our background screening packages cross-reference the address history provided by the applicant with the information available from our Name & Address Search and /or the Credit Bureaus.  Both services contain data that confirms the applicant's previous addresses. Knowing the places of residency of an applicant is crucial when conducting an accurate background screening. This information provides our researchers with the necessary data needed  to perform a thorough background investigation in the areas where the applicant has previously resided.

Credit Bureaus - In addition to providing credit history, these databases keep  information on the applicants most recent addresses.

Name & Address Search - The Name & Address Search is a database that contains current and previous addresses nationally for the applicant. Unlike, the credit reporting agencies that use information disclosed by the applicant's creditors, the name and address system uses literately hundreds of different databases to compile the applicant's profile. Thus, providing a more complete address history than the credit bureaus.
